Welcome to Write Yourselves!
Welcome!!
All of you.
I am very glad to have you here. And am looking forward to be a co-traveler on this journey. I have myself done a lot of journeying. And part of what helped me "coming out on the other side", meaning having processed and integrated a lot of my traumas, was writing, in different forms. Together with other expressive arts tools and mindfulness tools - writing was extremely helpful to me.
Writing is easy to adapt to what you yourself/yourselves need. I had to adapt mindfulness and expressive arts for it to work for me, but writing was always there. And it played a lot of different roles in my "wholing journey" - I prefer to call it that - over healing journey. See? Words matter. Finding your own words matter. Words that works for you.
This is not therapy
I put it here - immediately - to add that to everyone's awareness. Maybe you are in therapy, perhaps even in some sorts of trauma therapy? Or you are working on yourself/yourselves - on your own. This workshop space is for everyone who is looking for additional tools, like writing, expressive arts and mindfulness. They are all great tools to have - and what is different with this space is that there is awareness and inclusion of anyone having gone through childhood trauma, dissociation - all kinds of dissociation - all the way to the DID:ers and the polyfragmented ones.
But it is not therapy. We will focus on what anyone with dissociation needs - grounding, stabilization, resourcing, practicing listening to yourself - and communicating with yourself. And of course - communicating with the outside world too!
If you start this course and feel it is too much for you. It is okay to leave. And come back at a later stage again, if you want to. This is why it is set up as a subscription. You pay per month. It is also okay to stay around for as long as you want/need/like.
I often find it to be a good idea to go back to things, and do them a second time, third time - and so on. For each and every cycle - I learn something new, often at a deeper level.
I am introducing myself more properly under the lesson - Your Facilitator - Katarina Lundgren. I will just mention here - I do have a lot of courses in all kinds of trauma related stuff - but what makes me an expert on this - is my lived experience.
This workshop though is not about me - but about you. I will at times share some of my own writing, art etc - to inspire - to let you see that it is not about it being "good" or "bad" :-) But I won't share much about my actual trauma history with you. And this workshop is not about sharing your trauma story/history per se. It can of course be part of it - but it is about finding tools that works for you - in all parts of your life.
Once again - Welcome!
